Geocache Description:

The Pack 48 cache is located just off a trail near the Chesapeake City Northwest River Park campground where Cub Scout Pack 48 enjoys family camping. The cache was placed in 2010 by Pack 48 Den 3 to celebrate 100 years of scouting.

The cache is a traditional cache initially filled with Cub Scouting items such as a pinewood derby car, bear book, toys, and neckerchief slide .

For the 100th Anniversary Celebration, the BSA tapped into the fun and excitement of geocaching. Scouts and non-Scouts alike search for prizes in this fast-paced outdoor quest. It's a great way to share Scouting skills — and adventure — with today's tech savvy kids.

Cub Scout Pack 48 (Den 3) celebrated by learning about geography and GPS technology.
