This is yet another one of those locations that a lot of people drive past, but few stop to look at. It's only a smalll climb to the top, but you'll be rewarded with some great views of Charters Towers and the surrounding district.
The best approach is to turn onto Alabama Rd. There's plenty of room to park at S20 04.981 E146 14.796 and while you're there you can also check out the ruins of a local business that operated at this location from 1888 to 1936 ( I'm sure it was considered vital to the town at that time).
I've used the actual hiding spot for a reason, so please replace as you found it.
