Gravplass fra eldre jernalder.
Vahaugen var gravplass fra ca. 325 til 575 e.Kr. Her ble de døde brent på likbål. Det kan ha ligget flere hundre graver her, i 1917 – 1919 ble 211 undersøkt, i bare 61 fant man gravgaver. I dag er alle gravene borte, men dekkhellene til gravene er brukt til å reise en varde på haugens høyeste punkt, til minne om de som en gang ble gravlagt her.
Noen hevder at man en mørk kveld fremdeles kan se bålene brenne. Skummelt!

Cemetery from the early Iron Age.
Vahaugen was a graveyard from ca. 325 to 575 AD Here, the dead burned at the pyre.
It may have been hundreds of tombs here, in 1917 - 1919 were 211 examined, in only 61 were found buried gifts. Today, all the graves are gone, but the stones used in top of the tombs are used to build a cairn on the hill's highest point, in remembrance of those who were once buried here.
Some claim that a dark evening they can still see bonfires burning. Scary!
