A geocache on the outskirts of Cockenzie, to get the final coordinates you must answer the questions about Video Games below.
This is a mystery cache which is placed near the wagon way on the outskirts of Cockenzie. The given coordinates are for parking, on the side of the road heading into Cockenzie and right next to a part of Cockenzie power station, were the trains deliver some of the coal.
Too find the cache, you have to answer the following questions, all the answers you can find online. The subject is about video games, 6 questions which will give you 6 digits of the coordinates to find the geocache. The cache itself is not far from the parking, but does involve walking into the woods, so probably not accessible for prams, and the disabled.
1) In 2007, Valve software released a collection of games dubbed the orange box. This collection contained a few new games, all of which were high quality, and a few of there existing games. This collection included a puzzle game, the 4th instalment of the half life series- a series which its second game actually is the highest rated game on review site Metacritic - and a multiplayer game which had been in the development for 9 whole years. All of this, for the price of one game! My question is, how many games did the orange box actually include? This will be known as A
2) In 1993, Lucasarts released the game Sam and Max: Hit the road, based on a comic book starring the duo. The game was very popular, and stoodout compared to many other point and click adventures. However, these 2 would not return until 2006, with 13 years, a new developer and a game never to be finished behind them, they returned with 6 mini adventures, referred to as episodes in there 1st season. At the time of this cache post, there 3rd season of games has just premireed. My question is, which of there seasons (1,2 or 3) includes the episodes: Situation comedy, Abe Lincoln must die!, reality 2.0 and Bright side of the moon? This will be known as B.
3) Before the arrival of Sony’s Playstation, and Microsoft’s Xbox, in the early 90’s there were only 2 main companies making consoles: Sega and Nintendo. Back then, there were fewer mascots, and Nintendo’s Mario was considered the biggest thing at the time. Sega, to combat Nintendo, who they believed would be good and cool enough to beat Mario. His name was Sonic the Hedgehog. Sega went full force with this mascot, made sure he was advertised and made sure he had a great game. While in Mario games it was encouraged to explore the levels, in Sonic it was taken the opposite way, the game encouraged you to use your speed to reach the end as fast as possible. The game would go on to sell 4 million copies, but would be beaten by its sequel, Sonic 2, which would go on to sell an impressive 6 million copies! My question is when did Sonic 2 come out? 199C.
4) What game was released in which it had survivors, Bill, Zoey, Louis, and Francis fighting hundreds of zombies, whilst trying to get rescued from zombie infested America, which also payed tribute to zombie films such as Dawn of the Dead and 28 days later? The number is built into the games title. This will be known as D. (IMPORTANT NOTE: This game also has a sequel, so the number you are looking for is neither 1 or 2.)
5) In 1987, Square Enix was facing bankruptcy. They decided to make one last game to try and save the company, called Final Fantasy, referring to how this could be the company’s final game. Skip to today and its 13th main game has just been released! What makes final fantasy an odd series of games however, is that each main game is not an actual sequel plot wise, as all the charaters, locations, and even planets change for each new game. However, it is widely considered that the best game in the series was made in 1997 for the Playstation One. Which numbered sequel was it? This will be known as E.
6) The James Bond franchise has many films, ever since Dr No debuted in 1962. Goldeneye was one film, but while it may not be considered the greatest Bond film, it is considered by many as the greatest game ever based on a film liscense! What was the last digit of the year it was released? (The game, not the film it was based on). 199F.
