Route 16 from Stratton to Rangeley is one of Maine's best known "moose alleys".
The best times to see moose are early morning and just before dark. But be careful after dark, they are hard to see and like to run right in front of you!
This is a small Lock 'n Lock box, in a pretty place, on a road where moose abound. Beaver have been busy in this area too. And there is a nice camping area (although frequently in use) almost across the street. Happy caching and happy moosing!
