Geocache Description:

Quick C&D for a change.

I have driven past this site so many times and always wondered about it. Tonight the Mrs mentions that she has always wanted to stop and check it out. Her dad agreed that he too was curios about it so stop we did! Not much to look at, but it makes you wonder what this area used to look like.

I stood here and wondered... Could Johnson have ever thought that his bones would be rattled day in and day out by ten thousand conveyances not yet imagined. Did it ever occur to him that his final resting place would be smack in the middle of everything? He never heard of a North-Going Zax and a South-Going Zax, but even so, his presence here has caused the same reaction. Time just moves on around or over you. I doubt he cares much.

I hope 150 years after they bury me that I don't have a hover strip over my grave, but by then, I guess I won't care much either.

Take care when parking for this one. You might need to get there from Oregon Pike. Please close the gate securely if you go in and be respectful.
