If you're wondering about the name change, that's what this park is now called "Herb and Dolly Smith". It used to be called "New" and that's how its listed on the city map. However there is a new "New" now.
Herb and Dolly is an undeveloped parcel of wooded land on the coast of "Little Lake Butte des morts". Some definite elevation changes here, with some rock and fallen trees. Almost forgot, there is a water hazard so to speak here to. There may even be a bit of bushwacking.
Note: BIG changes here. Major clean up and everything new. This place is absolutely unrecognisable from the earlier park. Much safer place now too. Bring the kids.
This area is property owned by the City of Neenah. There are no plans (Money) to develop this land.
I thought long and hard about placing a cache here as there is a lot of wood and the kind of stuff you would find around an abandoned farm house. What I want people to see is the wonderful potential this place has. There are already people using it for fishing and some have launched there boats here. It really is an OK place to walk around.
To the South and Southwest, the park is bordered by a railroad. This railroad is over 85ft Southwest from the hiding spot. There is NO need to battle the brush, cross the ditch line and go up the embankment to get to the track. The cache is nowhere near it.
