The Herb Garden series of caches was the result of the
frustrating time Mrs Fox had whilst resting her ankle! She had
broken it whilst caching along the Hadrian's Wall footpath in
Northumberland and was therefore unable to go out for quite some
time after.
The series is just for fun and entertainment and not in the same
league as other mystery caches to be found in Rutland! Take heart
and try them out, the caches should be easily found. To find The
Herb Garden cache you will first have to find the five other caches
in the series:
Petroselinum Crispum
Rosmarinus Officinalis
Thymus Vulgaris
Salvia Offiicinalis
Allium Schoenoprasum
Each cache page will give you some interesting information about
herbs and a recipe. Most cache pages will contain a puzzle that
will give you the name of a village, in or near, where the cache is
hidden. Each cache will contain a page of "The Herbal" - keep all
these pages, as they will help you later.
You will also need a grid to decrypt some of the clues -
Nicholas Culpeper, the famous 17th century herbalist, will help
you.
