confluenceman: Have had lots of trouble with this locale, including a homeless man who actually lived on the island for awhile. Time to close this one up. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

More-Brewer Park in Hingham, MA is a 186 acre town reservation that was once a 19th century farm known as the Brewer Great Hill estate.  The pastureland is now forest & wetland; and there is a small shallow pond on the property known as Brewer Pond.

The pond is open water now (mid-April), but as the season progresses the water disappears beneath a carpet of water lilies, and various grasses and cattails abound and extend the shoreline.

A small island, lined with young trees is just off the NW shore, and is connected by a short wooden bridge.  The island is like a blind, with views through the trees into the marsh.  A great place to watch birds.
