This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, [RED]and assuming it still meets the guidelines[/RED], we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

This is our first stash so please be kind and leave comments when you find it and let us know how we did. I have been working on constructing this cache since I picked up the parts from my dad's house in Southern California so they have traveled a long ways for our enjoyment.

So long story short, don't go creeping around near dark...

This cache is best attempted between 8 am and 6 pm, please stick to those hours.

Long story and even funnier now that we are home. Here we are minding our own business trying to get coordinates when the security guard stops us. Granted this is public property but none the less the lucky folks in this neighborhood have private security, go them. So we explain what we are doing and why we are here and the best part is he saw Geocaching on SVU last night although that may not have been the endorsement for us as I am sure it had something really wrong tied to it. Anyways johnny security guy is talking to us when the cops roll in, no sirens or anything fun like that just black and white standard patrol. So at this point here we go again and show them what Geocaching is and why we are doing it and everything that goes with it. Funny thing is one of the officers was really interested and asking us several questions about required equipment and "How do you WIN?" which we couldn't answer because it depends on the person and all of that good stuff. So by this time it is dark and everyone is happy and the cache is really secure since both the local security guard and PD know where it is hidden and understand geocaching more now than they did... We did ask them not to touch it, move it or destroy it and they had no problems with our request and everyone went on their merry way. So in the end we highly recommend that you look for this one in the daylight so the security guard doesn't have to work overtime, this is good advice for all of the caches in Spanos Park West. We did try to tell him the approximate locations of the other caches so people would be left alone there but who knows, he is just doing his job.
