The Great Wall of Gold Canyon Traditional Cache
cornerofsky: Looks like the fire dept. has indeed encroached on my geocaching area. Alas, the cache is gone, and shall be archived to allow our good men and women firefighters complete access in and out of the gate sans geomobiles!

The Great Wall of Gold Canyon
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
One of the many beautiful overlooks of the Superstition Mts. in the heart of Gold Canyon.
Lost Gold golf course is on one side of the street, and Dinosaur golf course, on the other.
As usual, watch out for desert critters and
those mugglers.
There is an easy pull-out.

FTF!! (and mighty proud of it, I daresay!)
The Superstition Mts. are famous for their beauty, history of gold prospecting, and the mystery of the Lost Dutchman.
Yet, The Great Wall here reminds me of two poems by America's famous poets:
Carl Sandburg and Robert Frost.
"A FENCE" by Carl Sandburg
...Now the stone house...is finished and the
workmen are beginning the fence.
The palings are made of iron bars with steel points that
can stab the life out of any man who falls on them.
As a fence, it is a masterpiece, and will shut off the rabble
and all vagabonds and hungry men and all wandering
children looking for a place to play....
And Robert Frost's "MENDING WALL"
'...Good fences make good neighbors'.
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
'Why do they make good neighbors? Isn't it
Where there are cows?
But here there are no cows.
Before I built a wall I'd ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out...
