Il "Professor Layton" è il personaggio principale di una serie di giochi per piattaforma NDS che raccontano le misteriose avventure di questo abilissimo risolutore di enigmi. I giochi sono impostati in modo che per poter completare ed arrivare alla soluzione finale è necessario risolvere tutti i vari enigmi, di differenti difficoltà, che vengono proposti durante il corso del gioco.
Questa serie di cache è liberamente ispirata proprio a questo personaggio. Come nei giochi, voi sarete il Professor Layton a cui verranno sottoposti dei quiz la cui soluzione porterà a trovare i cache.

In futuro sarà poi creato un "bonus cache" per tutti coloro che avranno risolto e trovato tutti i cache della serie.

Ieri ho trascorso buona parte della giornata in un ufficio pubblico, con lunghi tempi di attesa in due diverse stanze. Nella prima di queste due stanze c'era un orologio analogico, a lancette, come quello rappresentato nell'immagine (A). Sono arrivato a mezziogiorno esatto e dopo un paio di minuti mi sono reso conto che l'attesa sarebbe stata lunga. Mi sono seduto e ho passato del tempo con questo piccolo quiz: ammettendo che l'orologio sia preciso, per quante volte le due lancette (quella lunga e quella corta) passeranno una sopra all'altra tra mezzogiorno e mezzanotte? Il numero che si ricava rispondendo a questa domanda sarà X.

Quando poi è arrivato il mio turno, mi hanno mandato in una seconda stanza. Anche qui c'era un orologio, ma di quelli digitali, come quello rappresentato nella foto (B). Anche in questo caso, in attesa di essere chiamato, mi sono seduto e ho notato che sul display erano segnate le 02:22. Per passare il tempo ho quindi contato quante volte quell'orologio avrà sul display 3 o più cifre uguali consecutive nel corso dell'intera giornata, considerando quindi che non venga mai spento durante la notte. Il numero che ricava rispondendo a questa domanda sarà Y.

Note sul cache
Si tratta di un piccolo cache di plastica, con nastro nero intorno per tenere una calamita, contenente il solo micro logbook. Come spesso accade a Milano, l'area può essere molto, molto frequentata. Vi chiediamo pertanto di portare estrema attenzione sia quando lo prendete che quando lo rimettete a posto.
E' superfluo sottolineare di rimettere il cache nella stessa identica posizione in cui lo avete trovato.

"Professor Layton" is the main character of a serie of games for the NDS platform. They are designed to tell mysterious adventures of this very skillfull quiz solver. In order to finish the game, the player must solve all the quizzes, with different difficulty level. The quiz are discovered during the game.
This serie of caches is freely inspired to this character. As it happens in the games, you will be action Professor Layton and you will be asked to solve quizzes in order to get to the final cache.

In the next future will be created a "bonus cache" for all the geocachers that will be able to solve all the caches that belong to this serie.

Yesterday I've spent a big part of the day in a public office, with very long waiting time, in two different rooms. In the first one there was an analogic clock on the wall, the one with hands, like the one you can see in picture (A). I just got in at noon sharp and after a couple of minutes I did realize I was going to wait for a long time. I sit and I have spent some time with this easy quiz: assuming that this clock works perfectly, how many times will the long and short hands pass over each other between 12 noon and 12 midnight? The number you get from answering to this question will be X.

Then, when it came my turn, they sent me in a second room. Even in this room there was a clock on the wall, but this time it was a digital one, like the one in the picture (B). While I was waiting to be called i sit down and i noticed that on the display the time was 02:22. To spend some time while waiting, I decided to count how many times will the clock display 3 or more of the same number in a row, during the course of the entire day assuming that the clock will not be turned off during the night. Notes regarding the cache
We are talking of a small plastic container, with black tape around to hold a magnet. It contains the micro logbook only. As often happens in Milan, the area can be very, very crowded. We please you to pay extra attention when you pick the cache up and when you put it back.
It is not necessarily to say put it back in the same position you have found it.
