Geocache Description:

This cache is in our ‘back yard’ (southeast Pittsfield) and is located in Kirvin Park.

Since 1998, the Pittsfield Parade Committee has been raising funds for the 4th of July parade by selling a different poster each year. We have all of them. But for 7 years, Parade Poster of 2002 ( “Celebrate America” by Suzanne Goudreau - two children saluting the American Flag) has been a puzzle to us. Where the heck is this park in Pittsfield? Well, we finally figured it out.

Near the cache's coordinates (location) is the area where the artist stood and looked north to paint the poster.

This is our first "4" difficult rated cache. This level was confirmed by 'Barefootgal' who has, at this time, over 4000 finds.

Enjoy the park. There are other caches nearby.

First to Find Fame For Rocking the Goat. Kudos!!!
