Geocache Description:

Located at the Green Lake National Fish Hatchery. Facility is open 7:30am - 4:00pm each day, year round. Not far from my other cache on this property, it's a walk along a road until the last few feet. I rated this a 2 on terrain because the last few feet take you off the road and it may be a reach for some, depending on how you approach it.

If you gather the information from the signs for my other cache, you can grab that one first and then continue along to this one. The very interesting wooden "pipe" beside the road, with leaks sprouting everywhere, was built to feed water into an electricity generating plant down by the hatchery. Be sure to bring a camera along and climb the banking at the end of the road. Don't leave before peering over the cement at the top!

Also, if you have any questions about the salmon - the staff there loves telling folks about what they do at the hatchery. They might even let you see the eggs!

For a more in-depth description of the hatchery you can check out my cache description page for Green Lake National Fish Hatchery GC11JKC.

Congratulations goes to Bulldog's wife for the FTF!
