Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Stewart State Forrest buffer zone.

This cache is one of a 13 cache series celebrating my favorite television show, "Mystery Science Theater 3000." The first 12 in the series are stand alone letterbox hybrids that will contain a single number and letter combination that can be used to find the last, Bonus cache. You can do however many you'd like, but you'll need to do them all to get the lucky 13th. All caches are custom built and painted and contain a handmade stamp. I hope that you have as much fun finding them as I've had making them. As with all letterboxes, return the stamp to the container for all to use. Many of the containers could be a little fragile, so please take your time retrieving them.

"Mystery Science Theater 3000" or MST3k for short, aired from 1989-1999. It grew from a public access show on KTMA in Minnesota to a full production on both Comedy Central and the Sci-Fi Channel. Created by Joel Hodgson, it was a derivative of the old Buggs Bunny cartoons with silhouettes in front of the screen making fun of really bad movies. The show had a huge cult following during its' airing that still exists today thanks to the internet. As was suggested during many of the commercials, "Join us!"

This cache feature The Observer or better known as "Brain Guy" played by Bill Corbett. During seasons 8-10, Mike and the ‘bots are hounded by Pearl Forrester and her crew. One of them is Brain Guy. Although his actual name is Observer, it's obvious to see why this moniker stuck. The Observers are a race of people all called Observer. They are so advanced that they have evolved to shed their shell of a body and become only a brain. This led to some obvious difficulties, like getting around and communicating. To correct these problems, they use bodies to carry them around in bowls. Thus, they have evolved to become exactly what they were, but with a brain in a bowl. The irony is not lost on any of the characters. Brain Guy can however, make things appear out of thin air, but this doesn't keep him from being dominated by Pearl Forrester. Brain Guy joined her when Mike Nelson accidentally destroyed his home planet, so he has no love for the inhabitants on the "Satellite of Love."

The cache is located in the Stewart Forest Buffer Zone. This area does allow hunting in season, so dress accordingly and always protect yourselves from ticks. The cache There are prickers and thorns near GZ and that will help to protect it, but you should be able to find a safe way in if you take your time and look. Best parking is at the given coordinates to avoid any "official" hassles. Follow the yellow trail to Maple Rd. or walk the road to the end of Maple just west of parking. Your best bet is to follow the old road in until you are perpendicular to the cache. From that point, cross into the corner of the field and follow the edge of the field until you are again perpendicular to the cache. This should put you around 60' from GZ. Now is where the fun begins. Remember, I said there will be thorns, but you can get in without too much trouble if you take it slow. Please replace it as you find it.
