The coordinates will take you to a memorial across from the Shopville–Stab Volunteer Fire Department where you can find all the clues you need to find this cache — which is located a short distance away. DO NOT DISTURB THE MEMORIAL OR LANDSCAPING. CACHE IS NOT THERE.
Sheriff Catron was attending a fish fry at the Shopville-Stab Volunteer Fire Department during his campaign for a fifth term in office. As he was preparing to leave, a single shot fired from the woods along KY 80 instantly took the life of this great man. Sheriff Catron, an Eagle Scout, served his community with a pride and dedication unmatched by most. He stood for what was right and just. His smile and laughter brought joy to all.
The shooter, Danny Shelley, pleaded guilty to the murder in January 2003 and was sentenced to life without parole for 25 years. Shelley said that after becoming hooked on prescription painkillers, prescribed for a workplace injury, he became involved with drug dealer Kenneth White and Jeff Morris, a former deputy running against Catron in the election. Morris later pleaded guilty to his role in the assassination and was sentenced to life without parole for 25 years. White was convicted by a jury of masterminding the plot and was sentenced to life without possibility of parole.

ABC = Subtract 16 from Sheriff Catron’s unit number (you may have to sit and ponder this one).
D = The last digit in Sheriff Catron's year of birth.
E = The second digit in Sheriff Catron's day of death.
F = Subtract the month of Sheriff Catron's death from the month of his birth.
At certain times of the year you will have to avoid detection by muggles using the canoe/kayak access for Buck Creek.
