We love trees. Whenever we are out walking we are in awe of their beauty and all the different species. Every once in a while a tree will stand out simply because there are no others like it in the immediate surroundings. This tree is one of them. Native to the Lake Tahoe Basin, but not generally found in this location.
Cache is year around but may require snow shoes or cross country skis in the winter. In the summer you can drive very close to it, but please do not park in the roadway. Parking is available. This is a great place for many short nature walks and is also just off the bike trail. The beach is not far, as well as several other caches.
