Geocache Description:

Cache is located off of the unmarked trails of Adell’s Water Tower Park. This is an undeveloped park with hiking trails that wind around the property. You will be looking for an ammo box. This park is open from 5 a.m. – 11 p.m. Some slight bushwhacking required near GZ.

This cache has nothing to do with snakes, other than years ago there was a grass snake pit about 200’ away. I don't believe there are any grass snakes using that pit any more. It was located in the ditch so you have nothing to worry about if snakes aren’t your thing. As kids, this was one of the cool attractions in town. We would bike here to watch, catch, and play with the snakes. If you check out the snake pit and see any snakes near by please mention it in your post.

This park was also a popular sledding area. One of the sledding run ended by the posted parking area for Brookview Split cache and the other by this cache's parking area. You can walk up the sledding hill and discover the water tower up close as well as one of this parks other caches.

Rumor has it that along the south end of the park there was an Indian burial sight.
