Geocache Description:

Cache replaced 4/2/2012 with a small, camo taped lock-n-lock.

This cache was placed in honor of the 10 Years! (Chicago IL) GeoGolf II Signals Birthday celebration on May 1, 2010. Congratulations to sheepdog19055 on the FTF!

My first non-micro placed in honor of 10 Years! of Geocaching!

This cache is located for your hunting enjoyment in a sliver of, I believe, the Cook County Forest Preserve (or maybe the Niles Park District), along a curve of the Chicago River, bordered to the north by Howard Street, to the south by Touhy Ave, to the east by the industrial buildings on Oak Park Ave and to the west by the North Branch Trail. I so wanted this cache to be on the other side of the river but I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to get over there without trespassing on the major soft drink distributor's property. I discovered this wooded area after finding The Wetlands Experience (GCXFRD) and thought right away that it needed a cache. I recommend parking at The Wetlands and making the pleasant hike over (though, a quick look at Google maps will reveal a more convenient place to enter the woods). I saw many deer, a hawk, crows and water fowl as I scouted for this location. !

The original container was a smallish regular-sized container, appropriately camo'd, containing some kid-friendly trade items, a log and a pencil, and a blue ribbon for FTF. Please hide it well when you return it to its hidey spot.!
