The cache is located along the Renmark to Morgan road at the entrance of Rex Ellis's Camel Farm, and offers you a chance to stop and stretch your legs.
The cache is a small plastic container with all the usual goodies and of course a stash note, log book and pencil. It is placed just of the highway on Government land and can be done as a quick drive-by.
If your lucky you may get to see camels in the padocks here at at GZ. the farm owner provides Camel Safari’s from his farm that give you the opportunity to explore the county side in a unique way on camel back. As part of these safaris you can camp overnight and also travel in a purpose built boat along the river where you can enjoy the tranquility of the great Murray River and surrounding districts, you should get to see kangaroos, koalas and you may even see a few Carp.
I have traveled just south of GZ along this part of the river on occasions in a house boat and camped nearby. It is another wonderful spot offering scenic views of the cliffs as well as the surrounding landscape, well worth a visit if you get the chance.
