Geocache Description:

Take some time to look around. Looks pretty typical, doesn't it? Now imagine a dirt road with horses and buggies. Can you make the leap? Maybe this will help!



This dirt road was removed starting in 1906, so that a brick road could be layed. When the workers were removing the dirt, they found evidence of a Corduroy road, which is a road consisting of logs. It is unknown how long this type of road went or when it was layed. After the brick came what you see now. Historical images and history courtesy of Earl Ballanger, Madison Co.
