Sekiya Ohashi
Sekiya Ohashi is a bridge built over Sekiya Bunsui. Sekiya Bunsui is a waterway for a thing of the Shinano River flowing through Niigata-shi, Niigata. Sekiya Bunsui was made for the purpose of protecting Niigata-shi from the flooding at the time of the flood of the Shinano River, but Shinano lower part of a river basin showed the power at once for further 1978 years when it was a deluge. In addition, I help prevention of the earth and sand sedimentation to the Niigata west port and contribute to an anti-shore erosion measure.

関屋大橋は関屋分水に架かる橋です。関屋分水は、新潟県新潟市を流れる信濃川の分水路です。これは洪水時の氾濫から新潟市を守る目的で作られましたが、その後1978年に信濃川下流域が大洪水になった際には早速その威力を発揮しました。また新潟西港への土砂堆積の防止にも役立っており、海岸侵食対策にも貢献しています。
