The Secret Paths Of Anglezarke Moor

There are many paths around the moors that aren't public footpaths, yet are common routes used by walkers. Anglezarke Moor is Open Access land, with full Right To Roam rights - and some of the "secret" paths are actually better trodden than the marked ROWs.

This is an old, old path, starting at Giant's Stile Farm, and carrying on up the side of the Yarrow, all the way to the source. In parts it is sparse, and in other parts like here, it is very prominent. It's evidently well-trodden, too, and is used as an orienteering route.

It's one of the more useful secret paths, as it allows you to traverse the moors without having to negotiate the sometimes unnavigable Sam Pasture.
