I love wierd little historic facts like this...
According to author and historian Jerry Bledsoe in his book, "From Whalebone To Hot House" (1986, East Woods Press), the North Carolina colony was briefly called 'Wingandacon' by the first bristish explorers in the area,
"At first the English called it Wingandacon, because that's what an Indian responded when a crew member asked what this place was called. Wingandacon, the English later learned, meant 'You wear good clothes.'"
You are looking for a magnetized container with log book and swag near te entrance to the lovely land of Wingandacon!!
