Geocache Description:

GeoCaching Monitoring station in "The District". Will hold small trade items.

Travel Bugs can visit for the photo op, but please don't place them in the cache. Although cachers have logged DNFs, it seems that is easier to find after partaking in happy hour.

Imagine you are strolling in the district in late 18th century between "The Bank" past "Main Street" but not quite all the way to "Golden Hill". Just to get a glimpse of the of the well-to-do homes lining a narrow street with it's interesting secrets. (Street names have since been changed)

The first house built here is said to have been that of Timothy Green, either for his own use or rumored to be that of his mistress. The Richard Douglass house, Rev. Samuel West house, and the Chateux Hotel are also on this street. The cross street getting it's name from either the golden ball on a church at the head of Golden Hill, or others claimed it's named after a house of ill repute (Gallery Building).

The cache is located across from the former 19th Century Chinese Laundry, which is a business that cleans pc viruses rather than seasalt from the maritime era.

You have permission to look for the cache here.
The owner of the building and INET business knows about the cache and is in fact a geocacher himself now without too much convincing from me. Also all the employees know about the cache and I think we have a nearly 100% success rate in convincing other employees in joining the geo-cult.

There is a public parking lot a couple blocks away, off from Pearl Street, which allows for 2 hour parking without a charge. Don't park there for more than 2 hours because the chalk wieilding meter man, although older and looks slow, is more stealthy than any geocacher and will ticket you.

On the advise of an experienced geocacher I have changed the hint.
