The cache is not at the listed position, the small plastic container has a logbook, pencil and is suitable for pathtags and other small swaps. The Trademark Reel is there. Viewed on Google Earth the listed coordinates illustrate the theme.
The Reel OXO Cache has nothing to do with computer games or stock cubes but was named because of the Os and Xs used in the games.
OXO (also known as Noughts and Crosses) is a tic-tac-toe computer game made for the EDSAC computer in 1952. Alexander S. Douglas wrote it as an illustration for his Ph.D. thesis on human-computer interaction for the University of Cambridge. OXO was the first digital graphical game to run on a computer. OXO is often listed as the first computer game.
OXO is also a range of food products, consisting of stock cubes, herbs and spices, dried gravy, and yeast extract.
To complete The Reel OXO Cache solve the puzzles below and the coordinates for the cache location will be revealed.
It may help to solve the puzzles if a radio with a digital LED display is tuned to 88.7FM and a digital stopwatch is used to monitor the time.
The games are not played on the online emulator.
