Geocache Description:

Cache is on flat terrain with nearby parking. Permission has been granted by the Newspaper Editor for this cache. Go inside to see historical displays of the area.

Many years ago fishermen were towed out into the bay in what looked like big rowboats built by Farley Boat Co. They were left out there to fish and latter in the day a motorboat would go out and retrieve all the little boats. The Farley boats you see today are a tribute to boat building that took place on the island. Each cement planter is delivered unpainted and each owner paints them in their own style. You will see them every where in Port Aransas. The cache is a about a 32 oz plastic jar with log, pen and swag.
