A lovely walk around West Down and the Beacon in Budleigh Salterton, which will probably take about an hour.
This multi-cache will take you through woodland, farmland, heathland and the coastal path, with superb views of the Jurassic Coast, Torbay and the River Exe on a clear day.
The route is entirely on public footpaths but you should be aware that you will be crossing and re-crossing the East Devon Golf course along the way, so please be considerate and take appropriate care.
There are several well placed benches near stage 4 and the “View across the Exe” virtual cache to log, if you’ve not already done so.
We often see deer between stages 5 and 6, sometimes at close range, so keep a look out on a quiet day.
Suggested parking is at N50.37.819 W003 21.181.
From here, take the public footpath which you will find just up the hill, on the bend.
