We’ve all heard the legend of Boggy Creek. You know; the “Fouke Monster”. He was a Bigfoot-type creature that had been seen in and around Fouke, Arkansas since the 1950s.
Well, little does anyone know, Lake Tawakoni State Park has it’s own “Boggy Creek Monster”. It is described as having a foul odor, completely covered in reddish-brown hair and having three toes and also known by leaving tracks found along the trails. Numerous reports have been made claiming that the creature has killed several large hogs as well as other animals. At one time, local hunters attempted to pursue the creature with dogs, but the dogs refused to give chase. Smart dogs!
Use caution in finding the cache. The Monster has been seen in this area. In fact, people have said that they could hear something splashing in the boggy marsh near the cache followed by an odor of rotten eggs. And remember to hide it back as well or better. We don’t need any “Boggy Monster Muggles”! Cache has been approved and permit is on file with park staff. Good luck!
