Scottiedogz: A big thank you to everyone who came and made this such an enjoyable day for us. We recently heard that the village shop had the busiest day they have ever had that day.

Geocache Description:

You are invited to join a geocachers day out in the village of Braco, between Perth and Stirling, only 1mile from the A9.
Click to go to the Mega Scotland web site

The event will be based from the Village Hall in Braco. We will be in the hall from 12 noon til 8pm, so call in when ever you can and stay for as long or short a time as you want. The hall is an ideal base for cachers dropping by for refreshments, to meet other cachers, chat, and as base to walk from. There are plenty of places to have a picnic by the river. The purpose of the event is to provide an enjoyable days caching in rural Perthshire, based from a location which is family friendly, with a selection of nearby caches including cache n' dashes, walks in the country, historical sites and good opportunities to see a wide variety of wildlife. The village hall has toilets and will provide shelter from the burning sun, wind or rain or all 3! There's plently of opportunities for dog walks, a play park next to the hall and football park nearby. There's a river, waterfalls, lots of wildlife walks, a Roman Fort and a castle with gardens open to the public within walking distance. We have access to the hall from 12noon. There will be tea/coffee home baking at lunch time and all afternoon. Any donations of home baking welcome. It would be helpful if all cachers could wear badges giving their caching name and own name - the more creative badge design the better! There is parking available in the car park adjacent to the hall. If you do park in the street, please be considerate of local residents. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
