Geocache Description:

The area can be accessed from two paths off Belvedere Road or a path leading up to the bridge off Victoria Road. Terrian is fairly rough and relatively steep in places, may be a bit slippy in the rain please take care. If approaching from the bottom of the slope in the summer walk past the big patch of nettles, there is a less stingy way in where the trees meet the path!

This location is one of the few remainders of the BCDR Comber to Donaghadee railway line in Newtownards. The former train station was off Victoria Avenue along with the goods yard. The park land the cache is located in contained the goods loading area and still has the footbridge that crossed the line. Further evidence of the line exists across the dual carridgeway and is a now a walkway. Cache is a tabloc container containing a log book, pencil and sharpener. It also contains some goodies.
