Located outside the Union Cemetery in Blooming Prairie Township. There is no need to go inside the cemetery in order to retrieve this cache. Please be respectful of the location.

To reach cemetery take Hwy 218 northwest out of Blooming Prairie MN for about 4mi, then left or west on Steele County Road 26 for 1.5 mi. The cemetery will be on the south side of the road.

Its history is not well known, but it was the family cemetery on the McDaniels farm when the first recorded burial occurred in 1866 for 17 year old Frances McDaniels. It is now owned and operated by the Union Cemetery Association.
I completed this transcription in Jan 2004. It contains all known burials through 2003 from the following sources: Tombstones, Sexton records, church burial records, & Steele County courthouse death records.
