The listed coordinates for this multi will take you initially to a beautiful Garden of Remembrance. The next stage will give you a further insight into the history of Wainuiomata and will probably come as quite a surprise, it did to me when looking for somewhere to place the cache! - sadly the area is a bit overgrown and there was some vandalism. If you end up with a long distance to WP2 please recheck, we don't want you lost in the bush! ANY DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH TO PROTECT WILDLIFE.
Please stick to the paths at WP1. Though you don't need to look at any memorials in WP1 area (other than the sign at the waypoint which is not a plaque,) you probably will want to look around so please show sensitivity to anyone paying their respects and do not go onto or touch any plaques etc. WP1: AB=Number of years he served as Patron WP2:: South Coordinates 41.16.BA0 East coordinates unchanged from WP1. PLEASE DO NOT BUSH BASH TO GET TO WP2- THERE IS AN EASIER WAY! The final is approximately 10 metres from WP2 at about 284 degrees true- if this causes you any problem stand with the path behind you, face the object of interest that is in front of you, and head about 10 metres in the direction you are facing and refer to the hint! Please bring your own writing implement. Non-spoiler photos of WP1 are welcome, but no photos or spoilers concerning the nature of WP2 or the final area in your log please. Cache is a 380ml Sistema, please ensure you hide it well using the available natural material when finished.
