Geocache Description:

There used to be a temple called Yamasaki-in built by Gyoki in AD 731, who was famous priest in Nara Era for building the big statue Daibutsu.

Today, there is nothing but a stone monument which reminds us of such a temple having existed before.

By the way, the big stone in Rikyu-Hachiman Shrine was supposed to have been used for building a five-story pagoda.

A small magenetic cache is hidden near the ruins but across the street.
