Houshakuji is a temple which is believed to have been built in AD 724 by Gyouki who was a famous priest for making the Big Statue Daibutsu in Nara.
The temple has a long and interesting history. Also, there is a three story pagoda designated to be National Important Culotural Heritage.
A small cache is hidden under a stone statue in its back yard.
