Who is zot, you may ask? Well, it’s not who, but what. Okay then, what is a zot? When you have high voltage potential and an air gap between low voltage potential, electrical pressure builds until this energy jumps that gap as a spark. Have you ever gotten a shock when reaching for a doorknob? Now let’s look at the zot. When lightning strikes the tall tree, and then jumps the air gap to a smaller tree with less impedance, or a better path to ground, that air gap from the tallest tree to the shorter tree is what has been named as a zot.
Now you may have one more question, who named this air gap from tree to tree in a lightning strike? Was it Erich von Zotman? No! It was MotorZen10, just for this cache.
There could be high muggle traffic at times, so please take care retrieving and placing the cache back in place with good concealment.
