I wanted to start a series that would combine my love of essential oils with geocaching. Ancient civilizations used oils to maintain health, heighten spiritual experiences and even to prepare the dead for afterlife. Part of a short series just off a paved trail. Small parking area near Oils #1.
Rosmarinus officinalis or Rosemary Oil has been used in ancient times in many feasts and festivals for both food and medicine. Students in ancient Greece wore garlands of rosemary while studying to help with memory. Elizabethan physicians used it to treat headaches, stomach aches and toothaches.
