Welcome to the Mega Scotland Teddy Bears Picnic.
A family event cache which is part of Mega Scotland
Date and Time : Friday 30th July from approx 12.30 - 3.30pm.
If you go down down to the woods today

There's lots of marvelous things to eat
And wonderful games to play
Beneath the trees where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as they please
Cause that's the way the Teddy Bears have their picnic
This family event is a chance to get together before the main event on
Saturday.
It's located in Quarrymill Park on the outskirts of Perth, a beautiful park with easy access for prams and wheelchairs.
Please bring a picnic, a teddy bear, a GPS and a pen
We will organise some fun and games for the children and of course the
chance for some hide and seek related fun.
There are 4 geocaches in the park itself.
Please note:
- there is parking at the park but it may be busy. If you have the option to park elsewhere it would be appreciated
- no barbeques or fires are allowed
- there is a small cafe in the park serving food and drinks and also where the toilets are located
- children must be supervised at all times
- the event is outside (!) so please bring suitable clothes
- we have been asked about dogs attending. Given the obvious potential issues with excited dogs and children mixing, they (the dogs!) need to be kept on a lead at the event itself. This event is scheduled at the same time as the Mega Woofy Dogs Event. See Megascotland page for details.
- the event will be at the picnic area in the park. The coordinates above are not precise (due to GPS issue) but will be updated nearer the time.

Bus No. 3 or Goldline No. 7
Bus stops either Scone cemetery at the top of the walk(east) or Isla road(west).
Just ask the driver and he will shout your stop. (GPS works in bus if you sit by the window!)
At the time of typing this a Perth single ticket is £1.40, or a Day ticket is £2.70 to hop on/off all day.
If you are stopping all week they also do a Mega Rider - a weekly hop on/off ticket.

Hi everyone - just a week to go before the event. We now have a bear treasure hunt organized for the day as well as a prize donated by Iona Bear who will have a stall at the event.
The event itself will be in the bbq area in the park. There are a few seats but also a large grassy area - so if you have a blanket then it would be good if you could bring it along.
Fingers crossed that the Scottish weather comes good on the day. Look forward to seeing you all.
