Kentmere Pike is a cache that will hopefully turn into a series which is by way of a tribute to Alfred Wainwright, will eventually and again hopefully mark all of the 214 Wainwrights,the owners of existing caches on AW summits will be invited to alter the cache name by adding a few letters after the cache title,as in Kentmere Pike (AW FE.11)which stands for Alfred Wainwright Far Eastern Fells Book ,Number 11,the 11 referring to the particular fell height in the order shown in the relevant book......................................................................................................

The terrain rating for this cache has been averaged out,their are many routes to the summit,some easy(ish) some very difficult,not to mention weather conditions and the time of the year,therefore the published D/T level won't be in agreeable to everyone..
