This cache is named after a very special guy named Grover or Grovie Rovie. I just love this little guy to death. He's very smart and very happy and lights up any room he's in. He's named after my son's idol, jazz saxophonist Grover Washington, Jr.
This cache is an olive drab decon container placed just off the Landon Nature Trail. Please make sure all four corners of the lid snap into place when returning the cache to its hiding place in order to keep moisture out. The cache is stocked with a few items I have picked up in past geocaching adventures. Please make a fair trade. The coordinates were averaged 50 times on a clear day in spring. There is an unactivated geocoin for FTF. Don't forget your pen!
From the Landon Nature Trail website:
This stretch of trail is from SE Adams to SE California. It has been adopted by the Shawnee County 4-H. It is lined by trees with patches of grass. There are two marshy areas between milepost 6 and California Street. Just west of California around milepost 6½ is the Cottonwood Towers Area. This area is canopied by several very tall Cottonwood trees.
The trail is open from sunrise to sunset. You can find more info at www.landontrail.org. Happy caching!
