Alice Mine Cache Traditional Cache

The location is near the Alice mine (also known as the Yellow Pine Extension) opening.
After assuring I had ample fuel in Jean, and visiting Pioneer Saloon, I took the dirt road trip in two wheel drive with little difficulty. The route can be rocky so for inexperienced off roaders four wheel drive might help.
You will pass the famed Yellow Pine mine on route to the Alice mine. Imagine a rail road with a locomotive coming up the valley to take the ore from the Yellow Pine Mine to the mill on the hill outside the Goodsprings Saloon.
The Cashe is an ammo box painted black. The ammo box is covered by small rocks… (Please re-conceal after you find it). The cache contains a USGS quad map denoting the names and locations of nearby mines - the quad map is for your reference only (Please keep it with the cashe), and I recently placed 1954 maps denoting the location of the mines in the area. These 1954 maps are for your enjoyment and feel free to take one (if you would like, I can send a PDF version to you, just shoot a note to my email address).
