A plastic container that has both toys and a few fishing items in it. It is close enough to the river for the angling cacher to visit but easy enough for kids too.
This is our first cache. The kids have been clamoring to do a cache of their own, so here is our initial effort.
I have always loved to fish Diamond fork, but it has never been very popular among many local anglers. Why? Because of a reputation that there are tons of rattlesnakes in the canyon. While there are indeed a few, I have never been bothered by them.
The cache contains 3 compartments. The first has the log. The second has a few toys available to trade for the young cacher. The third compartment has some fishing tackle that can also be traded. If your luck is poor, see what is inside and try something new. Some of the spinners and flies have worked for me here. Trade fairly though. The cache will give me an excuse to go fishing in order to check on it and restock.
