Following the success of last year's event, I have decided to continue on with this year's event at the same location.
Seeings as how the owner was emphatic on this....this year the event will again be held at the Heartland Forest.
Unfortunately, due to financial restrictions, this year's event will be a toned down version of last year's, but I will be having some raffle items, we will be having a pot luck lunch, and of course, the red carpet will be rolled out for the World Famous Cachey Awards!!! (ooohhhhh)
If you would like to bring something for the pot luck, include what you would be bringing in your "Will Attend" post and/or if you would be willing to donate something for the raffle, please email me with your information.

And this year's Cachey Awards have been expanded to feature a few new categories.
The categories are as follows:
Best Overall Cache
Best New Cacher
Best Puzzle Cache
Most Unique Cache Container
Best Multi-Cache
YACC (crappiest cache, it's a joke)
Most Educational Cache
Best Cache Series
Toughest Cache (evil hide, tough puzzle, or difficult hike)
Best International Cacher
All eligible nominees will have to have been published or have joined geocaching after July 18th, 2009.
If you have any suggestions for nominees, please email me your list, do not include it in your post, and I will compile the top 5 nominees from each category, so they can be voted upon at the Event. One thing to keep in mind is that, since this is a local event, please nominate local cachers and/or local caches.
Keep this cache on your watchlist as I will continue to update as new details come forth.
