Although not connected to the organizers or the event in any
way, this cache is placed along the route of the River to River
Relay, a running event held each April in which teams of 8 runners
travel an 80-mile route across Illinois. It's also at a highway
exit near the southbound side. The cache is a pill container.
Exchange 12 of the relay is along the road west of the cache.
It's just over halfway through the relay course, which ends in
Golconda at the east side of the state. The hills have been a
challenge for the runners so far, but the biggest ones are
ahead.
