Small box containing a log, pen, and some small trinkets, located at a beautiful viewpoint of Catalina island and the Point Vicente Lighthouse.
This is my families' first geocache. The spot is a short distance down a trail along the Palos Verdes bluffs. We decided to hike this trail last weekend and we really loved it. The trail is great for getting some exercise while enjoying the ocean. There are beautiful overlooks for whale watching and scenic views of Catalina island and the Point Vicente lighthouse. The cache is a small box with a log, a pen, and the initial trinkets my children selected: some light-up novelty rings and some shiny stones they got from souvenir shops. Bring some quarters for the telescopes and try some whale watching. I hope you enjoy it.
