Geocache Description:

The iconic water tower atop Eatons Hill is visible from miles around. Look for it as you approach, it's hard to miss its distinctive shape. Conversely, you can see for miles from the area around the tower. This cache takes you on a short walk during which you will be able to experience nearly 360 degree views for quite some distance. There are three waypoints at which you will need to gather information to lead you to a fourth waypoint which in turn will point you at the cache.

The published coordinates will put you at the entrance to the water tower carpark. Unfortunately this carpark is now closed to vehicular traffic, so you'll need to park out on the road.

You should proceed (on foot!) to WP1 where you will see a sign. Please take note of the "Site Number" on this sign:

Site Number: ABCDEFG (you may need to rotate D by 90 degrees )

A quick stroll to WP2 should put you at a light pole. This pole has a five digit number on it:

Pole Number: HJKLM

Next, wander around the side of the tower complex and across toward WP3. Look to your left (East) as you round the tower and, on a clear day, you'll see all the way out to Moreton Island. In the foreground is the Eatons Hill Hotel and Function Centre (under construction as this cache is being prepared). A little further out is the South Pine Sports Complex; beyond that, the ever-expanding industrial sprawl of Brendale and the mast of the Bald Hills Radiator. If you're here at night, you might be able to make out the lights on the Houghton Highway bridge connecting Sandgate and Brighton with the Redcliffe Peninsula.

As you near WP3, the TV antennas of Mt Coot-Tha are visible in the distance to the South.

Arriving at WP3 you'll find a survey mark with an ID number stamped on it:

Survey Mark: NPQRT

With all these numbers in hand, you can then proceed to:

S 27 2F.ATK E 152 5K.CJJ

where you'll find a micro containing the final coordinates.

As you approach GZ, take a look off to the West and you should be able to see Mt Nebo, Mt Glorious, Mt Samson and Clear Mountain.

No waypoint (including the cache itself) should be especially difficult to get to if you choose your path carefully. There is also no need to climb, cross or otherwise violate any fenceline during any stage. Some stealth may be required, although I've not found it particularly necessary yet. Please exercise caution around WP4 as there's quite a dropoff nearby -- may make this waypoint unsuitable for small geokiddies.

Congratulations to LoupyLoo, AmbulareSimia and Plus-One for the FTF!
