Geocache Description:

A short series on the Coastal Path between Anstruther and Pittenweem. If you want to do them from one side or the other, rather than walking between the two villages, I would suggest parking at the Anstruther end. There is ample parking at the Golf Clubhouse or Rockies Restaurant. An easy half hours walk will get all the caches and as a bonus you will pass the start point for Allieballie's Anstruther Amble.

The East Neuk of Fife almost had an SNP MP in the late 1970's. He was a rather charismatic figure who lived in St Monans. He lost the election by only a couple of thousand votes to the sitting Conservative MP. At the next election he stood as an Independent, but did less well, with again the Tory candidate winning. This Tory domination was ended by the Liberal Party and the seat is now seen as a safe Lib Dem seat.
