Chisholm Mills
In 1857, William Fraser Chisholm bought the Roslin mill site property on the banks of the Moira River. At that time, it consisted of a flour/feed mill and a sawmill. Since then, six generations of the Chisholm family have been involved in the lumber business at the Roslin millsite. They continue to have a thriving lumber business here. The ancient pieces of equipment of the mill can be seen.
There is parking available off the road. In the summer, muggles come here to wade in the water and some swim although there are cautions against this as the water can be quite fast at times.
The falls are murmuring and the limestone is waiting for your tread. Come and find this camo-covered margarine container.
Do be careful on the banks of limestone. Not suitable for young children.
Congratulations to kenlaur on FTF!
