Geocache Description:

Ammo can in the woods at Osage Hills State Park! This cache is just close enough to a couple of other caches along the bike trails that most cachers just "Gotta Have It".

Don't be fooled by the county road shown on the Google map. The road does not exist / is not accessible any more. This cache requires a bit of a hike from within Osage Hills Park. The trail is generally easy (flat and few rocks) but the cache is almost a mile hike from the trail head. The cache can be located by hiking or riding out on mountain bike trails that start at the following trail head coordinates. The terrain is mostly flat except at the cache site. If the nearby stream is flowing, there is a small waterfall/pool that is best viewed from the south side of the stream (trail crosses the stream just above the fall). Trail head and nearby parking can be found at: N 36 44.474' W096 10.824' This cache was just close enough to a teaser cache near the trail head and another cache along the trail that most cachers just "Gotta Have It". Unfortunately, the original teaser cache was lost to a flash flood, so now you just have to want this cache on its own merits. Stick to the trails and you will have no trouble finding the general cache location. There is no poison ivy in the general area of the cache. There is very little, if any, poison ivy along the trail although there is plenty of virginia creeper, so PI could be nearby. Cache place by permission. Activity permit on file at rangers office
