Geocache Description:

Fred and Hilda were Londoners by birth but moved away during and after World War II. They loved the countryside and the great outdoors and retired to Yorkshire in the mid-1980s. They loved walking in the dales and had many holidays in the area before moving here. Although off-cumdens they soon became part of the local community in which they lived and pursued their walking activities until Fred's health no longer allowed.

Fred's ashes were scattered in the vicinity back in 2001 but now Hilda's have come to join him (in 2010). It was thought that a cache hidden here would be very fitting. The cache is hidden at a favourite resting place whilst walking up this particularly steep hill. This cache is on the roadside and if driving here, please park carefully above the cache site or alternatively park further down the hill and walk up. The cache is located opposite the Additional Hint behind the wall. The small plastic box is in a camo bag with a log book and pen with room for small swaps.
